This is a cute little dog backpack harness crochet pattern. The pattern is two patterns, one for a harness and an additional pattern for a little doggie backpack.

Sewing needle and thread.

Row 1: nd Starting with chest strap, with I hook and cotton yarn ch 46. Sc in 2 ch from hook
and in each ch across, (45 sc made.)
Row 2: Ch 1 and turn, Sc in each of the 45 sc across.
Row 3: Ch 1 and turn, Sc in each of the 45 sc across.
Row 4: Ch 1 and turn, Sc in each of the 45 sc across.
Row 5: Ch 1 and turn, Sc in each of the 45 sc across.
End off and weave in the end. Place marker in center st.
Back Piece:
Row 1: Attach yarn in 4th ch to right of marker with sl st. Ch 1 and sc in same st.
Sc in each of
the next 3 sts. Sc in marked st and remove marker. Sc in each of the next 4 sts.
Rnd 1: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in each of the 9 sc across.
Rnd 2: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in each of the 9 sc across.
Rnd 3: Repeat Row 3 until the piece is 2 1/2” from the beginning ch row. End off and
weave in end

Rnd 1: With yarn and I hook, ch 18. Join back by sc in each of the 8 scs across back.

Rnd 2: Turn and sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch and st across. (45 sc made.)
Rnd 3: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in each of the next 14 sts. (Sc next 2 sts tog. Sc in each of
the next 3 sts) 3 times. Sc next 2 sts tog. Sc in each of the last 14 sts. (41 sc made.)
Rnd 4: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in each of the next 12 sts. (Sc next 2 sts tog. Sc in each of the
next 3 sts) 3 times. Sc next 2 sts tog. Sc in each of the last 12 sts. (37 sc made.)

Rnd 2: (Make 2 sc in next st) 3 times. Sc in each of the next 2 sts. (Make 2 sc in next
st) 3 times. Sc in each of the last 2 sts. (16 sc made.)
Rnd 3: (Make 2 sc in next st, sc in next st) 3 times. Sc in each of the next 2 sts. (Make 2

Begin Backpack Flap:
Sl st into 1st marked st, remove marker. ch 1 and turn. Row 1: Sk sl st and sc in each of the next 7 sts. Remove all markers. Row 2: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in each of the 7 sc across. Row 3: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in each of the 7 sc across. Row 4: Ch 1 and turn, sc 1st 2 sc tog. Sc in each st until the last 2 sts. Sc last 2 sts tog. (5 sc made.)

Sc around flap. end off at the opposite side and weave in end.
Making Ties:
Cut 2 pieces of yarn 60” long. Fold yarn in half and draw the folded end through the inside of the backpack as shown below.
Ch 22 using tails. End off’ knot and trim ends.
Weave ties through to meet at the center. Position Button and sew in place.
Leash Attachment:
Row 1: With yarn and I hook ch 15. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (14 sc made.)
Row 2: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in each of the 14 sc across. Row 3: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in each of the 14 sc across. End off leaving a tail to sew to harness. Insert narrow end through metal ring. Fold in half.
Pin and sew to halter as shown below.
Pin and sew backpack to halter as shown below being careful to leave open. Sew velcro to straps as shown below.
Place on dog and Velcro in place.
Medium Sized Halter:

Ch 22 using tails. End off’ knot and trim ends.
Weave ties through to meet at the center. Position Button and sew in place.
