Starting at bottom with peach yarn, and size H hook make a magic circle
Rnd 1. Ch 1 and make 6 sc in the ring. Join the 1st sc made with sl st. Ch 1 and turn. Note. You will join, ch 1 and turn each round unless otherwise stated. I also like to mark 1st st to keep count accurate.
Rnd 2. Make 2 sc in each st around. Join the 1st sc made with sl st. Ch 1 and turn. (12 sc made.)

Beading Rnd

Rnd 28. (Make 2 dc in next ch 1 sp. Sl st in next dc) around. Last sl st will be in the last sl st from rnd 27. End off and weave in the end.
Brim
Turn work so the top of bag holder is down and attach blue yarn in an open loop from Hat Rnd 2.
Rnd 1. Ch 3 and dc in the same st. (Dc in each of the next 2 sts. Make 2 dc in the next st) around. Join the 3rd ch of beg ch3 with sl st. End off and weave in the end.
Finishing Bag Opening
Attach peach to any st in the opening. Lay pony tail holder over hole and sc evenly around opening, enclosing elastic band as you go.
Join to beg sc with sl st. End off and weave in the end.
With White Yarn Make a Beard
Below you will find 2 ways to build your beard. Choose which everway you preffer.
Basic Pom Pom Beard
1. Grab your 4″ piece of cardboard.
2. With beard colored yarn, wrap around cardboard about 100 times. Cut a piece of the same colored yarn about 36″ long. Fold yarn in half and draw under all the top loops with a tail on each side. 3. Securely tie the two ends (tails) tog and pull off cardboard.
4. Slip off 4″ cardboard. Cut bottom loops of beard and trim as needed.
Basic Hand Sewn Beard
1. Wrap one or two colors of yarn around a 4″ piece of cardboard.
2. Thread a darning needle and knot end.
3. Insert darning needle between cardboard and pull up and through about ¼”. Draw the needle throught the knotted portion and pull tight to secure.
4. Insert needle under yarn once again about a ¼” and pull up. Insert needle back about ⅜” and pull back up about ¼” (partway through the last st.) Draw up and tighten. Repeat this step across until all loops are sewn securely.
Remove yarn carefully and cut bottom loops. Trim as desired.

Glue beard to face under hat brim.
Nose
Rnd 1. With size H hook and Peach yarn, ch 2 or make a magic circle. Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (or in magic circle.) Do NOT join, but do mark 1st st. (6 sc.)
Rnd 2. Make (2 sc in next sc) around. (12 sc.)
Rnd 3. Make (sc in next sc, make 2 sc in next sc) around. (18 sc.)
Rnds 4 – 5. Sc in each of the 18 sts around.
Rnd 6. (Sc next 2 sts tog. Sc in next st) around. (12 sc.)
Rnd 7. (Sc next 2 sts tog) around. Join snd end off weaving in the end. Stuff lightly if desired and glue to beard and hat as shown below.
With Blue yarn, make a 20″ cord in any matter preferred. Weave cord through top. Knot for a hanger if desired.

Rnd 1. With peach and I hook make a magic circle. Ch 2 and make 6 sc in the circle. Do not join. Rnd 2. Make 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc made.)
Rnds 3 – 7. Sc in each of the 12 sts around. Join Peach yarn to beg sc. End off and weave in the end. 9 Attach Red yarn in the last st worked.
Rnd 8. Ch 1 and sc in each of the 12 sc around. Do NOT join.
Rnds 9- 21. Sc in each st around. (12 sc made.) End off leaving a 12″ tail. Flatten arms and sew ends closed. Sew or Glue to Gnome as shown below.
