Materials Needed:
Hot Glue gun. Piece of cardboard about 5″ wide. Size H Crochet Hook. 1 ½ oz of Medium Blue #4 weight yarn. Scraps of Pink Worsted weight yarn. Cotton ball size of stuffing. Darning needle and scissors. 2 ounces of White beard colored yarn. Few yards of white cotton crochet thread #10 and small size 4 steel crochet hook.
Hat
With Blue yarn and H hook, make a magic circle.
Rnd 1. Ch 2 and make 4 sc in circle. Do not join but do mark 1st st. (4 sts made.) Rnd 2. Sc in each of the 4 sc around.
Rnd 3. Make 2 sc in each st around. (8 sts made.)
Rnds 4-9. Sc in each st around. (8 sts made.)
Rnd 10. Make 2 sc in 1st st. Sc in each of the next 7 sts. (9 sts made.)
Rnd 11. Sc in each st around. (9 sts made.)
Rnd 12. Make 2 sc in 1st st. Sc in each of the next 8 sts. (10 sts made.)
Rnd 13. Sc in each st around. (10 sts made.)

Beard Red for Demonstration Purposes Only
Grab your 5″ piece of cardboard.
With beard colored yarn, wrap around cardboard about 150 times.
Cut a piece of same colored yarn about 36″ long. Fold yarn in half and draw under all the top loops with a tail on each side.
Securely tie the two ends (tails) tog and pull off cardboard.
Cut bottom loops of beard.
Spread the top of the beard out and sew the inside of the hat at brim seam.
Nose
Rnd 1. With size H hook and Peach yarn, ch 2 or make a magic circle. Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (or in magic circle.) Do NOT join, but do mark 1st st. (6 sc.)
Rnd 2. Make (2 sc in next sc) around. (12 sc.)
Rnd 3. Make (sc in next sc, make 2 sc in next sc) around. (18 sc.)
Rnds 4 – 5. Sc in each of the 18 sts around.
Rnd 6. (Sc next 2 sts tog. Sc in next st) around. Join to the 1st sc made. (12 sc.)
Rnd 7. (Sc next 2 sts tog) around. Join and end off weaving in the end. Stuff lightly if desired and glue to beard and hat as shown below.
Mittens- Make 2
Rnd 1. With Blue and size H hook make a magic circle. Ch 1 and make 6 sc in the circle. Do not join. (6 sc made.)
Rnd 2. Make 2 sc in the 1st st. Sc in each of the next 3 sts. Make 2 sc in the next st. Sc in the rem st. (8 sc made.)
Rnd 3. Sc in each of the 8 sts around.
Rnd 4. Sl st into the next st. Ch 2, In the flo of the same st make a 3 dc bobble st, Ch 3 and sl st into the same st. (Thumb made.) Sc in each of the next 7 sts around. (8 sts made.)
Rnd 5. Make 2 hdc over the bar of the thumbs ch2.
Sc in tip of cluster. Make 2 hdc over the next ch3 on thumb. Sc in the rem 7 sts. (12 sts made.)
Rnd 6. Sc 1st 2 sts tog. Sc in the next st. Sc the next 2 sts tog. Sc in the rem 7 sts. (10 sts made.)
Rnd 7. Sc the first 3 sts tog. Sc in the rem 7 sts. (8 sts made.)
Rnd 10. Sl st into the next 2 sts. End off and weave in the end. Set aside.
With cotton thread make a simple Snowflake on the back of each mitt and glue to beard as shown
below.
Large Snowflake
With Cotton crochet thread and size 4 hook, ch 5. Join the 1st ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1. Ch 1 and make 2 sc in the ring. Ch 3, in ring make (2 sc, ch 3) 5 times.Join to 1st st made with a sl st.
(6 ch 3 loops made.)
Rnd 2. Sl st into the 1st ch 3 lp. Ch 1 and ** in the next lp make (2 sc, ch 3 and 2 sc)* rep fro ** to * around. Join the 1st sc made on rnd with a sl st.
Rnd 3. Sl st into the 1st ch3 lp and ch 1. ** In the next lp make (sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5, sc, ch 3 and sc.) Ch 2 * rep from ** to * around. Join to the 1st sc made with a sl st. End off and weave in the end. Glue or sew to the hat as shown below.
