Assembling
1. Place 1st triangle as shown below.
2. Pin 2nd triangle to 1st triangle as shown below. (Do NOT try to match corners.) Place 2nd triangle up from bottom edge of 1st triangle about ½”. (Move straight pins as needed.)
3. Pin 3rd triangle over 1st and 2nd triangles as shown below. Once again leaving about ½” open at corners. 4. Pin 4th triangle over 1st, 2nd and 3rd triangles as shown below. This time DO match top right corners and lift up the bottom edge of the 1st triangle.
5. One at a time, remove corner pins and match all 3 thicknesses of corners in all 4 corners. 6. Matching sides and corners sew all pieces tog around outside, sewing through all thicknesses. 7. The center will form the opening.
8. Pin and sew pouch to pocket around outsides as shown below.
Pin and sew entire pocket to purse as shown below. Leave top of pocket open and be careful not to sew to front piece.
I like to keep a pattern in the pocket and small scissors in the pouch, but feel free to use the pocket and pouch for anything. (Your phone, a small hook case, needles and thread, buttons etc.)
