Materials Needed
½ oz. Black Red Heart Super Saver #4 yarn
Scraps of White #4 yarn

Gauge in Sc with size I hook: 12 sts = 4″ and 15 rows = 4″
Sides – Make 2

Sizes
Small: W around hand = 7. Length: 7″
Medium: W around hand = 8. Length: 8″
Large: W around hand = 10. Length: 9″
X-Large: W around hand = 14. Length: 10″
With Black ch 10 for size Small, 14 for size Medium, and 18 for size large, 22 for X-Large.
Row 1. Dc in the 4th ch from the hook and in each rem st across. Ch 3 and turn. (8, 12, 16, 20 sts made counting beg ch-3 as a st now and throughout.)
Rows 2-4. (Fpdc dc around the next dc, Bpdc around the next dc) across. Ch 3 and turn. Do NOT ch-3 at the end of row 4, but DO ch 1 and turn.
Row 5. Make 2 sc in the 1st st. Sc in each st until the last st. Make 2 sc in the last st. (10, 14, 18, 22 sts made.) Row 6. sc In each of the 10, 14, 18, 22 sts across. Ch 1 and turn.
Rep row 6 until the piece is 5″, 6″, 7″, 8″ from Row 1.
Set aside
Middle Piece – Make 1
Outside of Can Holder
Row 1. With Gold yarn, ch 6, 10, 14, 18. Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn. All of the next rows will be worked in the back loop only. (blo)
Row 2. Sc in the back loop only of each of the 5, 9, 13, 17 sts across. Ch 1 and turn. For all sizes, work until the piece is 8 1/2″ long. End off and weave in the end. (about 26 rows)
Join white yarn in the top right raw edge as shown below.
Row 1. Ch 1 and make 26 sts across the top for all sizes. Ch 1 and turn.
Rows 2-5. Sc in each of the 26 sts across. End off white and weave in the end.
inside of Can Holder
Row 1. Join Gold Yarn in the last st worked. Ch 1 and sc in each of the 26 sts across.
Ch 1 and turn.
Row 2. Sc in each of the 26 sts across. Ch 1 and turn.
Rep row 2 until inside of the can Holder is 2“, 3“, 5“, 6″, 7″ long from the top to Bottom.
Hint: fold the piece in ½ and make sure it matches the black hand/cuff edge.
End off and weave in the end. Pin the black hand/cuff edge to the ribbed portion and sew in place.
Now fold the piece in half.
You will notice that you have two layers at the hand/cuff edge and 4 layers at the beer holder edge.
Open mitt to the inside layer that will be the can holder. Pin and sew the short sides together.
Open the piece to the wrong side again and pin and sew the two black sides together.
Turn the piece back to the right side and set aside.
Round Bottom of Can Holder
With Gold yarn, make a magic circle.
Rnd 1. Ch and make 6 sc in the ring. Do NOT join but do mark the 1st st.
Rnd 2. Make 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc made.)
Rnd 3. (Sc in the next st, make 2 sc in the next st) around. (18 sts made.)
Rnd 4. (Sc in each of the next 2 sts, make 2 sc in the next st) around. (24 sts made.)
Rnd 5. (Sc in each of the next 3 sts, make 2 sc in the next st) around. (30 sts made.) End off and weave in the end. Set the piece aside.
Bottom of the Holder
Rnd 1. Working through both layers at the bottom attach gold yarn as shown below.
Ch 1 and make 30 sc around the bottom. Join to 1st sc made on rnd with sl st.
Rnds 2 – 3. Ch 1 and sc in each of the 30 sc around. Join to the 1st sc made on rnd. Do NOT end off.
Attaching Round Bottom
Working through the both loops on the cup and the flo on the round, Sc both pieces tog all the way around. Join to the 1st sc with a sl st. End off and weave in the end.
