Abbreviations Used:

Materials Needed:
2.5 Ounces of Yellow worsted weight yarn (I use cotton.) 1 Ounce of Brown Worsted Weight Yarn. Size I Crochet hook. Darning needle. 2 cup hooks.
Row 1: With size I hook and yellow worsted weight cotton, ch 62, sc in 2nd ch from hook. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch) 3 times. Ch 2, skip 2 ch, hdc in next ch. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch) 3 times. ( Ch 2, skip 2 ch, trc in next ch) 5 times. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch) 3 times. Ch 2, skip 2 ch, hdc in next ch. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch) 4 times. Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 2: Sc in first sc. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next sc) 3 times. Ch 2, skip 2 ch, hdc in next hdc. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next dc) 3 times. ( Ch 2, skip 2 ch, trc in next trc) 5 times. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next dc) 3 times. Ch 2, skip 2 ch, hdc in next hdc. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next sc) 4 times. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3-14: Repeat Row 2. Do not ch-1 after Row 6, but end off and weave in end.. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch) 3 times. Ch 2, skip 2 ch, hdc in next ch. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch) 3 times. ( Ch 2, skip 2 ch, trc in next ch) 5 times. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch) 3 times. Ch 2, skip 2 ch, hdc in next ch. (Ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch) 4 times. Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 1: Attach brown in the last sc made. Ch 1, sc in same sc. (Make 3 sc in the next ch-2 loop.) Repeat across. Make 16 evenly spaced sc across the end. (Make 3 sc in the next ch-2 loop) Repeat across. Make 16 evenly spaced sc across the end. Join the first sc with sl st. End off and weave in the end.
At the end, count down 2 yellow ch-2 space. Attach Brown yarn in the first sc of the next ch-2 space. Sc in the same space. Make 3 sc around each ch-2 across.
Repeat on opposite side.
Attach Brown yarn in the center row of ch-2’s and repeat stripe by making 3 sc across each ch-2. End off and weave in the end.
Ends
Rnd 1: Sew End opening together at the first and the 16 st on the end as shown above. Attach Brown yarn and make 16 sc around. Join the first sc with sl st.
Rnd 2: (Sc in each of the next 2 sc. Sc next 2 sc together) around. Join the first sc with sl st. (12 sc made.) Rnd 3: Sc in each sc around. Join the first sc with sl st. End off and weave in the end. Repeat on the opposite end.
End covering
Rnd 1: With Brown ch 2, make 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. Join the first sc with sl st. Rnd 2: Make 2 sc in each sc around. Join the first sc with sl st. End off leaving a 12” tail to sew to end opening.
Sew to end. Repeat on the opposite side.
End hooks – Make 2
With brown ch 11. Join the first ch to form a circle. Ch 1, make 18 sc around the ring. Join the first sc with sl st. End off leaving a 12” tail to sew to the end of banana as shown below.
