Materials Needed:

Small amounts of Green, Yellow and White Crochet cotton – size # 10. 1 ball Aunt Lydias Crochet cotton in blue – size # 10 bedspread weight. Size B crochet hook.

Leaf Base – make 1

Row 1: With Green and size B hook, ch 5 join to first ch to form a ring. In ring make (sl st, ch 3, dc, ch 3 and 2 dc.) Ch 1 turn.

Row 2: Sl st in each of the first 2 dc and into the ch-3 loop. Ch 3, in loop make (2 dc, ch 5 and 3 dc.) Ch 5, turn.

Row 3: Dc in 4th ch from hook. Ch 1, sl st in each of the next 3 dc and into the ch-5 loop. Ch 3, in loop make (5 dc, ch 5, and 6 dc.) Ch 5 turn.

Yellow Flower – Make 3

Rnd 1: With yellow Ch 5. Join to first ch to form a ring. Ch 4, (counts as first dc and ch-1.) Dc in ring. (Ch 1, dc in ring) 10 times. End with ch 1, join to 3rd ch of beginning ch-4. (12 dc made.)

Rnd 2: Ch 3, make 2 dc in next loop, dc in loop. (Make 2 dc in next loop, dc in next dc ) around. End with, make 2 dc in last loop, sl st in beginning ch-3.

Rnd 3: (Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook for a picot. Skip 1 st, Sl st in next st) around. Set piece aside. White Wispy Flower – make 2

Rnd 1: With white thread and size B hook, ch 5. Join to first ch to form a ring. Ch 4, (counts as first dc and ch-1.) Dc in ring. (Ch 1, dc in ring) 10 times. End with ch 1, join to 3rd ch of beginning ch-4. (12 dc made.)

Rnd 2: Ch 5, make dc in next dc. (Ch 2, make dc in next dc) around. End with ch 2, sl st in third ch of beginning ch-5.

Rnd 3: (Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook for a picot. Skip 1 st, Sl st in next st) around. End off and weave in end. Set piece aside.

Blowing Wispy Flower – make 1

Rnd 2: Ch 5, make dc in next dc. (Ch 2, make dc in next dc) 8 times leaving remaining spokes unfinished. Ch 3, turn.

Last Row 3: (Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook for a picot. Skip 1 st, Sl st in next st) across. End off and weave in end. Set piece aside.

Blowing Piece of Flower – make 5

With white, ch 2, make 1 sc and 1 sl st, in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 10, in 2nd ch from hook, make 1 sc and sl st. End off leaving a 12” tail to sew to doily. Set piece aside.

Stems 1 and 3

With green thread, ch 18, sc in each sc across. End off and weave in ends. Stem 2
