Granny Pocket

Make a magic circle.

Rnd 1. Ch 6, make 3 dc in the ring. Ch 2, make 3 dc in ring x 4. Ch 2, make 2 dc in. The ring. Join to the 3rd ch of the beg ch 6 with a sl st. End off and weave in the end. (6 cl and 6 sp.)

Note: If using 1 color, sl st into the ch 2 sp to begin each rnd.

Rnd 2. Attach a new color in the 1st ch 6 loop. Ch 5, make 3 dc in the ring.

*Ch 1 in the next ch 2 sp, make 3 dc, ch 2 and 3 dc* 4 times.

Here is where we get different - - ch 1 and only make 3 dc in the next sp. Ch 1, the sp where you made the ch 5, make 2 dc to complete the cluster and join to the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 5. End off and weave in the end.

Rnd 3. This is important . Attach a new color in the ch 5 loop where you began rnd 2 Ch 5, make 3 dc in the ring.

*Ch 1, make 3 dc in the next ch 1 sp. Ch 1 in the next ch 2 sp, make 3 dc, ch 2 and 3 dc. * x 4.

*Ch 1, make 3 dc in the next sp * x 2. This is the top of the pocket.

Ch 1 and make 2 dc in the beg loop and join to the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 5. End off and weave in the end.

Rnd 4. This is important . Attach a new color in the ch 5 loop where you began rnd 2 Ch 5, make 3 dc in the ring.

*(Ch 1, make 3 dc in the next ch 1 sp) x 2. Ch 1 in the next ch 2 sp, make 3 dc, ch 2 and 3 dc. * x 4. (Ch 1, make 3 dc in the next sp) x 3. This is the top of the pocket.
