Tiger Mask
1 oz. Orange Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn Scraps of Black Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn
Scraps of White or Cream Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn
EYE SOCKET SIDE 1: Rnd 1: Beg at eyehole, ch 18. Being careful not to twist ch, join to first ch with a sl st. Ch 1, in joining make 3 sc. Mark 2nd sc as inside edge. Sc in each of the next 8 chs. In next ch make (sc, hdc, sc.) Mark hdc as outside edge. Sc in each of the next 8 chs. Join to first sc with a sl st. 22 sts made.
Sc in next 9 sts. Make 3 sc in marked st. Mark 2nd st as center. Sc in last 9 sts. Join to 1st sc made with sl st to end rnd.
Rnd 3: Ch 1 and sc in same st. Sl st in next 5 sts. Sc in next 11 sts. Make 3 sc in marked st moving marker to 2nd sc as center. Sc in last 10 sts. Join to 1st sc with sl st. End off and weave in end for 1st side. (30 sts made.) For 2nd side, leave long tail for sewing pieces tog. Note that inside edge is blunt. (30 sc made.)
From center inside marker, count over 3 sts on both sides and place a marker as shown below.
Sew pieces tog as shown below, removing center inside markers.
Attach yarn at right edge in marked st as shown below.

Begin working on bottom half of mask
(Sc in each of the next 3 sts. Make 2 sc in next st) 3 times. Sl st in each of the next 6 sts along nose. (Sc in each of the next 3 sts. Make 2 sc in next st) 3 times. Join to 1st st with sl st. (73 sts made.)
Hdc in each of the next 21 sts.
Make 2 hdc in next st. Hdc in each of the next 2 sts. Make 2 sc in next st. Sc in each of the next 3 sts. Sl st in each st across bottom until 1st sl st. Sl st into 1st sl st to end rnd.
Finishing:
Do NOT End off, but turn to right side and sl st in each st around.
End off and weave in end. Set aside.
Rnd 1: With size H hook and White yarn, ch 2 or make magic circle. Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (or in magic circle.) Do NOT join, but do mark 1st st. (6 sc.)

sc across bottom of ear. Make 3 sc in tip. Make 4 sc up last side, join to first sc with sl st. End off and weave in end. Attach orange yarn in any st and sc in each st around making 3 sc in each corner. Join to first sc with sl st. End off leaving a long tail and sew to mask as shown below.
Finishing
Cut 1 piece of ¼" elastic about 10" long. Sew to sides of mask as shown below.
Dip mask (NOT elastic) in stiffener and shape on form. Let dry and enjoy.
