EYE SOCKET SIDE 1: Rnd 1: Beg at eyehole with bandana color and appropriate size hook. ch 18. Being careful not to twist ch, join to first ch with a sl st. Ch 1, in joining make 3 sc. Mark 2nd sc as inside edge. Sc in each of the next 8 chs. In next ch make (sc, hdc, sc.) Mark hdc as outside edge. Sc in each of the next 8 chs. Join to first sc with a sl st. 22 sts made.

Sc in next 8 sts. make 2 scs in next st. Make 1 sc in next marked st (mark again as center.) Make 2 scs in next st. Sc in last 8 sts. Join to 1st sc to end rnd. (26 sts made.)
Rnd 3: Ch 1 and sc in same st. Sl st in next 3 sts. Sc in next 10 sts. Sl st into the next 3 sts. Sc in last 9 sts. Join to 1st sc with sl st. End off and weave in end for 1st side. For 2nd side, leave long tail for sewing pieces tog. (30 sc made.)
From center inside marker, count over 1 st on both sides and place a marker as shown below.
Sew pieces tog as shown below, removing center inside markers.
Place 4 markers in 12th st on either side of side markers as shown below. These are the sts you will be working over.
Attach green yarn with a sl st at right edge in ch 3rd from marked st as shown below.
Center st: Make a center dec with a dc in (marked st, seam and next marked st) all tog as shown below. (Remove markers.)
Dc in each of the next 4 sts. Make 2 dc in next st. Dc in next st. Make 2 hdc in next st. Sc in next st. Sl st in next st. Ch 1 and turn. (2 sl sts and 21 other sts made.)
Count over 8 sts to right of center marker and attach green yarn with a sl st. You will be working over a total of 17 sts.
End off and weave in end.
Begin working on bottom portion of mask. Turn work around and attach green yarn with a sl st in 3rd ch from side marker as shown below.
Sl st in marked st and in next st. Sc in next st. Hdc in next st. (Make 2 dc in next st) 4 times. Hdc in next st and sc in next st. Sl st in next st. End off and weave in end.
Cut a 10" piece of elastic and sew to either side.
Dip mask in your favorite stiffener being careful not to get elastic wet, and place over form. Shape and let dry.
With bandana color yarn, ch 8. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch. Sc in each of the next 2 chs. Hdc in next ch. Dc in next ch. Hdc in next ch. Sl st into beg ch. And once again ch 8.
Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch. Sc in each of the next 2 chs. Hdc in next ch. Dc in next ch. Hdc in next ch. Sl st into beg ch. Fold in half and glue to mask as shown on cover.
