Halloween Spinners

Materials Needed
Under 1 ounce of each 4ply worsted weight yarns: Red, White and Black Scraps of each of each 4ply worsted weight yarns: Blue and Peach Safety eyes, felt or foam

SPINNER PATTERN FOR ALL
With yarn and I hook, ch 22, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in each rem 20 ch. (21 st)
Ch 1, make 2 hdc in the 1st st and on each of the next 12 sts. (Make 2 sc in the next st) 5 times. Sl st in the next st. (37 sts.)
Sk the sl st and sl st in the next st. (Make 3 sc in the next st) 5 times. (Make 3 hdc in the next st) 5 times. (Make 3 dc in the next st) 22 times. Join to the 1st ch made and turn.

Sl st in the next 4 sts and ch 8. Sl st back into the same st for a hanger. End off and weave in the end.

Step 1: Make a spinner from the pattern above using white yarn.
Head
Make a magic circle and ch 2.
Rnd 1. Make 12 dcs in the ring. Join the top of 1st double crochet with a sl st. Do not pull the loop fully closed. (12 dc)
Rnd 2. Ch 2 and make 2 dc in each st around. Join to the top of the beg dc with a sl st. (24 dc)

Rnd 3. Ch 2 and dc in each st around. (24 dc)
Rnd 4. Ch 2 and dc2tog around. Join to top of beg dc with sl st. (12 dc)
Rnd 5. Ch 1. (Sc in 2, sc2tog) around. (9 sc,) End off and weave in the end.

Take the hanger and pull it through the hole in the head. Cut 2 eyes from felt or foam and glue to head.
Finishing. Fold the hand together and make 2 sc though both thicknesses to close the end. Set aside and make another.

Make spinner as abo ve using black yarn.
Head
Rnd 1. With Black yarn and hook, make a magic circle. In the circle make 6 sc. Do NOT join but do mark 1st st. (6 sc made)
Rnd 2. Make 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc made.)
Rnd 3. (Sc in 1st st, make 2 sc in next st) around. (18 sc made.)
Rnd 4. (Make 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, make 2 sc in next st) around. (24 sc made.)
Rnd 5. Sc in each of the 24 sts around. Join and end off black. Weave in the end.
Rnd 6. Join peach in any st from last rnd. Ch 1 and sc in each of the 24 sts around.
Rnd 7. Ch 2 and sc in each of the 24 sts around.
Rnd 8. Ch 2 and (dc2tog) 12 times.
At this time secure your end so we can work on the facial features.
Thread a darning needle with 2 strands of black yarn and pull through at the hairline. Embroider a widows peak and attach eyes.

Pick the peach yarn back up.
Rnd 9. Ch 1. (Sc in 2, sc2tog) around. (9 sc,) End off and weave in the end.
Separate one 15" piece of black yarn so that you have 1 strand of the 4 ply. Take that strand and embroider the mouth as shown below. Likewise do the same with the white yarn and embroider the teeth.
Take the hanger and pull it through the hole in the head.
Hands and Arms
With peach make a magic circle and ch 1 to secure. Rnd 1. Ch 1 and make 6 sc in the ring. No need to join.
Rnd 2. Sc in each of the 6 sc around. Pull the magic circle tight and tuck the tail in to stuff the hand. End off peach and weave in the end.
Attach black yarn in any st from rnd 2 and ch 1. Rnds 3-5. Sc in each of the 6 sc around.
Cape Collar
Ch 12, make 4 trc in the 5th ch from the hook. Trc in each ch to the last ch. In the last ch make, 4 trc, ch 5 and a sl st. (16 trc, counting the beg and ending ch 5 as a trc.)
This will bring you to the opposite side of the ch.
Begin Cape
Row 1. Ch 2, (make 2 dc in the next st. Dc in each of the next 2) 2 times. Make 1 more dc in the next st and make 2 dc in the last st. Ch 2 and turn. ( dcs)
Rows 2- 3. Dc in each of the 11 sts across. End off and weave in the end. Set aside.
Bow Tie
With Red make a magic circle and (ch 2. Dc in ring. Ch 2 and sl t in ring. Glue to body as shown below
