Oak Leaf

Rnd 1. With Light Brown ch 13. Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each of the next 2 chs. Hdc in each of the next 4 chs. Dc in each of the next 4 chs. Make 8 trc in the last ch.

Working on the opposite side of the ch, dc in each of the next 4 chs. Hdc in each of the next 4 chs and sc in each of the last 3 chs. Sl st to the 1st sc to end the rnd.

Rnd 2. Ch 1 and hdc in the same st as joining. Sk 1 sc and make 3 dc in the next sc. Ch 3 and sl st in the same st. Sl st in the next st. Sc in the next st. Hdc in the next st. Dc in the next st. Make 3 trc in the next st. Ch 4 and sl st in the same st. Sl st in the next st and sc in the next st. Hdc in the next st and dc in the next st. Make 2 trc in the next st. Ch 4 and sl st in the same st. Sl st in the next st.

In the next st make (hdc, dc and trc.) In the next st make (trc, dc and hdc.)

Sl st in the next st. In the next st make (sl st, ch 4 and 2 trc.) Dc in the next st. Hdc in the next st. Sc in the next st and sl st in the next st. In the next st make (sl st, ch 4 and 3 trc.) Dc in the next st. Hdc in the next st, sc in the next st and sl st in the next st. In the next st make (sl st, ch 3 and 3 dc.) Sk 1 st and hdc in the next st. Sl st in the end and ch 5. Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. Sl st into each of the next 3 chs and into the bottom of the leaf. End off and weave in the end. Set aside.

Worm

Row 1. With dark brown ch 21. Make 5 dc in the 4th ch from the hook. Make 5 dc in each of the rem sts across. At the end of the row ch 12 and sl st back into the end to make a hanger. End off and weave in the end. Pull hanger through the bead.

Acorn Cap

With #3 dark brown thread and size E hook, make a magic circle and ch 1 to secure.

Rnd 1. Ch 1 and make 6 sc in the ring. Do not join and do not pull the ring tightly. Leave room to pull the hanger through. (6 sc)

Rnd 2. Make 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc.)

Rnd 3. (Make 2 sc in the next st and sc in the next st) around. (18 sc made)

Rnds 4 and 5. Sc in each of the 18 sts around. End off and weave in the end.

Pull the hanger through the center hole of the magic ring. (I like to glue the cap in place.)

Glue the head only to the leaf as shown below.
