Materials Needed

Under 1 ounce of each 4ply worsted weight yarns: Red, White and Black Scraps of each of each 4ply worsted weight yarns: Blue, and yellow.

Scraps of light brown and dark brown 1" bead for worm

Safety eyes, felt or foam for turkey

Fiberfil

Size H crochet Hook

‌SPINNER

With Brown yarn and G hook, ch 22, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in each rem 20 ch. (21 st)

Ch 1, make 2 sc in the 1st st and on each of the next 3 sts. Make 2 dc in each of the next 8 sts. (Make 2 sc in the next st) 5 times. Sl st in the next st. (37 sts.)

Sk the sl st and sl st in the next st. (Make 3 sc in the next st) 5 times. (Make 4 trc in the next st) 8 times. (Make 3 sc in the next st) 15 times. Make 2 sc across the bottom. End off. Leave the rail for now, this will mark this end as the bottom.

Hanging Loop

Attach Red yarn at the middle of the top end (the unmarked end.)

Ch 12 and sl st back into the joining. End off and weave in both ends.

Head

With light brown, make a magic circle and ch 2. (Does not count as a st.)

Rnd 1. Make 8 hdcs in the ring. Join the top of 1st hdc with a sl st. Do not pull the loop fully closed. (8 hdc)

Rnd 2. Ch 1 and (make 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in the next st) around. Join to the top of the beg hdc with a sl st. (12 hdc)

Rnd 3. Ch 1 (make 2 hdc in the next st. Hdc in the next st) around. Join to top of beg hdc with sl st. (16 hdc)

Rnds 4-5. Ch 1 and hdc in. Each st around. Join to top of beg hdc with sl st. (16 hdc)

Rnd 5. Ch 1. Make 2 hdc in the 1st st. Hdc in each rem st around. Join to top of beg hdc with sl st. (17 hdc)

Rnd 6. Make 3dc in the 1st st. (Sl st in the next st. Make 3 dc in the next st.) Join to the beg with a sl st. End off And weave in the end.

Add 2 eyes as shown below.

Beak

Rnd 1. With orange make a magic ring. Ch1 and make 4 sc in the ring. Do not join a do not tighten hard. Leave the ring a little loose to make it easier to work the next rounds. (4 sc)

Rnd 2. (Make 2 sc in the next st. Sc in the next st.) 2 times. (6 sc) End off and tuck the tails into the beak to stuff it. Set the beak aside.

Wattle

With red ch 6. Make 3 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. (This is the bottom of the wattle.) Sc in the next st and sl st in the next st. End off leaving the rem sts unworked. Set aside.

Comb

Attach red at the center back as shown below.

(Ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook and in the next st) twice. Sl st in front of the center hole and ch 3. Sl st in the. 2nd ch from the hook and in the next h. End off and weave in the end to the inside.

Glue or sew the beak to the face as shown below.

Now glue or sew the wattle as shown below.

Take the hanger and pull it through the hole in the head and glue only the inside to keep secure. Then glue or sew the head and tail to the spinner as shown below.

Feet - make 2

With orange, ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook (1st toe made), *ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Repeat from * once (3 toes made). Then, sl st to very 1st chain in round to connect the toes back to the start. Ch 5 for the leg. Sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook and in the next 3 chs. Join back to the beginning with a sl st. End off and weave in the end.

Glue to the bottom of spinner as shown below.

Wings (make 2)

With brown yarn, make a magic ring.

Rnd 1. Make 4 sc in the ring. Do not join. (4 sc).

Rnd 2. (Sc in the next st, make 2 sc in next st) twice. (6 sc).

Rnd 3. (Sc in each of the next 2 sts, make 2 sc in the next st) twice. (8 sc)

Rnd 4. Sc in each of the 8 sts around. (8 sc)

Rnd 5. Fold the piece in half, and make 4 sc across the double thickness. (4 sc)

Rnd 6. Make 3 dc in the next st. Sl st in the next st. Make 3 dc in the last st. Sl st into the side. End off and weave in the end.

Glue or sew the wings to the tail feathers as shown below.
