General Instructions

In place of #5 thread – you can use craft thread – which is used to make woven bracelets or embroidery floss. I find it is sometimes easier to find small amounts of these two items in the colors called for.

#1 - Colorful Beaded Necklace


Materials Needed

White cotton crochet thread – size #10. Steel crochet hook size 7(1.55 mm) steel crochet hook;

29 Beads - your choice of any stringable beads.

Special Stitches:

Foundation Stitch: * Ch 4, dc in 4th ch from hook. Repeat from * until desired number of sts have been completed.

Necklace Center Piece

Row 1: String 28 beads on cotton thread and push down (You will not be using them for awhile.) With thread (containing beads) and size 7 hook, ch 55, sc in 2nd ch from hook. (Ch 2, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch) 5 times.

(Ch 2, skip 1 ch, hdc in next ch) 3 times. (Ch 2, skip 1 ch, dc in next ch) 3 times. (Ch 2, skip 1 ch, trc in next ch) 5 times. (Ch 2, skip 1 ch, dc in next ch) 3 times. (Ch 2, skip 1 ch, hdc in next ch) 3 times.

(Ch 2, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch) 4 times. Ch 1, turn.


Row 2: Make 2 sc in first ch-2 space. Ch 4, bring up a bead and sc around it. Sl st in each of the 4 chs. **Make 2 sc in the next ch-2 space on body of necklace.

Ch 4, bring up a bead and sc around it. St st in each of the 4 chs.* Repeat from ** to * across. End with 2 sc in last ch-2 space. Ch 1.

Row 3: Working over beginning ch, sc in each sc across. End with a sl st into ch-2 space at end.


First Tie

(Ch 4, dc in fourth ch from hook) 20 times. Ch 15, pull up last bead and sc around it. Sl st in next 15 chs. End off and weave in end.

Second Tie

String remaining bead on thread. Attach beaded thread to opposite side of Necklace. Ch 1, sc in end space. (Ch 4, dc in fourth ch from hook) 20 times. Ch 15, pull up last bead and sc around it. Sl st in next 15 chs. End off and weave in end.

Bottom Trim

Row 1: Attach thread at left edge of necklace.


Make 161 sc evenly around outside edge on necklace making a multiple of 3 plus 1 scs. Sc in each st and in each space, making 1 sc in ch-1 spaces, 2 sc in ch-2 spaces and 3 sc in ch-3 spaces. Make 80 sc before double crochet marker – 1 in the marked st and 80 sc after the marked st. Ch 1, turn.

Row 2: Sc in first 2 sc, (Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook for picot. Skip next sc, sc in each of the next 4 sc.) 15 times. Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook for picot. Skip next sc, sc in each of the next 5 sc. Replacing marker as needed. The third sc should be over the double trc.(Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook for picot. Skip next sc, sc in each of the next 4 sc.) 15 times. End with, Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook. Skip next sc, sc in last 2 sc. Turn.


Row 3: (Ch 7, skip next sc, picot and sc. Sl st into each of the next 2 sc.) 15 times. Ch 7, skip next sc, picot and sc. Sl st into next sc. Ch 7, skip 1 sc, sl st in next sc. (Loop made for center stone.) (Ch 7, skip next sc, picot and sc. Sl st into each of the next 2 sc.) 15 times. Ch 7, skip next sc, picot and sc. Sl st into last sc. Ch 7 for button hole and skip side rows, turn work right to begin working across the beginning ch. Sc in first ch of the beginning ch to complete button hole.


Finishing Top Trim

Row 1: Sc evenly across top of necklace making 121 sts for a multiple of 6+1 stitches. Ch 1, turn.

Row 2: Sc in first sc. **Ch 2, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc.* Repeat from ** to * across.


Note: To make necklace larger – simply make 6 sc across button end and make several rows of sc or until piece is the desired length. Sew button to opposite side of button loop.


Sew beads to the necklace as show below if desired.


# 3 Solomon’s Knot and Flower Necklace

Materials Needed

White cotton crochet thread (or any color desired) – size #10. Steel crochet hook size 7(1.55 mm) steel crochet hook; Size #5 Crochet cotton in green, teal and yellow.

Soloman’s Knot –sn

Row 1: With size #10 white cotton crochet thread and size 7 crochet hook, ch 130. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. ** draw up loop ¼”. Make 1 sc through back strand of elongated loop just made. Draw up another loop ¼”. Make 1 sc through back strand of elongated loop just made. Skip 3 ch, sc in next ch. * Repeat from ** to * until the end of the Row. Make two extra elongated loops to turn.

Row 2: Make 1 sc in center of 3rd sc or knot of Row 1. **Draw loop up ¼”. Make 1 sc in back strand of same loop, draw up another ¼” loop, Make 1 sc in back strand of same loop, skip 1 knot and make 1 sc in 2nd knot. Repeat from ** to * across row, and end with sc in last knot. End off.

Count down 8 center knots on each side of piece and place are marker in each.

Row 3: Attach white yarn in place of one of the markers with sl st. Make sc in same sc. Replace marker **Draw loop up ¼”. Make 1 sc in back strand of same loop, draw up another ¼” loop, Make 1 sc in back strand of same loop, skip 1 knot and make 1 sc in 2nd knot. Repeat from ** to

* across row, and end with sc in last marked knot. End off.

Count down 4 center knots on each side markers and place are marker in each. (You can remove the other 2 markers.


Row 4: Repeat row 3.

Row 5: Attach white yarn in begging ch.

Make sc in same st. Sc around bottom of necklace making about 2-3 sc in each loop and 1 sc in each sc. Sc up side and join to begging ch with a sl st.

Ch 7 for button hole and skip side sc, sc into bottom sc. End off and weave in end. Sew button to other side.

3 Leaf Cluster


Large Leaf

Make 3: With green and size 7 hook, ch 10, sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next ch. Hdc in each of the next 2 ch. Dc in each of the next 2 ch. Trc in each of the next 2 ch. Make 10 trc in end ch. Working on opposite side of ch, trc in each of the next 2 ch. Dc in each of the next 2 ch. Hdc in each of the next 2 ch. Sc in next ch. Join to first sl st with sl st. End off and weave in end. Set aside.

Stem and Joining Leaves

Foundation Chain: Ch 15, join first leaf with a sl st.

Sl st in next 2 ch on foundation ch. Ch 4, join 2nd leaf with a sl st. Sl st in next 5 ch on foundation chain. Ch 2, join 3rd leaf with sl st. Sl st in next 2 ch. Sl st in remaining chains on foundation. End off and weave in ends. Set aside.

2 Leaf Cluster

Make 1 large leaf (above) and 1 small leaf (pattern below.)

Small Leaf

Ch 8 sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next ch. Hdc in each of the next 2 ch. Dc in each of the next 2 ch. Make 8 dc in end ch. Working on opposite side of ch, dc in each of the next 2 ch. Hdc in each of the next 2 ch. Sc in next ch. Join to first sl st with sl st. End off and weave in end. Set aside.

Joining leaves

With green thread and size 7 hook, ch 10 sl st into bottom of large leaf, sl st into 3 chs on the foundation ch. Ch 2, sl st into bottom of small leaf. Sl st back into each of the 2 chs just made and in the remaining sts on the original foundation ch. End off and weave in ends.

Small Flower – make 3

With Blue thread and size 7 hook, ch 3 (2 dc, ch 2, sl st) in third ch from hook. (Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) 4 times in same st as first petal made; finish of. 5 petals. With yellow thread make a French knot in the center of flower.

Large flower – make 1

Rnd 1 :(Right side) With Yellow, ch 4, make 9 dc in fourth ch from hook. Join to top of first ch-4 with a sl st. (10 dc made counting first ch-4 as dc.)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in joining and in each dc around; join with slip st to first sc. (10 sc.)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in joining, ch 3, skip next sc, * sc in next sc, ch 3, skip next sc; repeat from *

around; join with slip st to first sc: (5 ch-3 spaces.)End off yellow and weave in end.


Rnd 4: Join Blue thread in any sc. (Slip st, ch 2, 4 dc, ch 2, slip st) in first ch-3 space and in each ch-3 space around. Join to first sl st with sl st. End off and weave in end. (5 petals.)

Assembling

Pin and sew leaves to necklace as shown below.

Pin and sew flowers as above.

#4 – Yellow, Pink, Green and Teal Lace Necklace

Materials Needed

10 yards each - Size # 5 crochet thread in Yellow, Pink and Teal and size 7 steel crochet hook.

With yellow color thread and size 7 hook begin - First Motif-Row 1a: Ch 5. Sl st in 5th ch from hook to form a ring. Ch 5, dc in ring. (Ch 2, dc in ring) 3 times. (4 ch-2 spaces made.) Ch 5, turn.

Row 1b: Dc in first space. Ch 2, dc in next dc. (Ch 2, dc in next ch-2 space. Ch 2, dc in next dc) 2 times. End with ch 2, dc in next ch-2 space. Ch 2, dc in 3rd ch of ch 5 turning ch.

Second Motif-Row 2a: Ch 10, sl st in 5th ch from hook to form ring. Ch 5, turn.


Row 2b: Dc in ring. (Ch 2, dc in ring) 2 times. Ch 2, turn work so you can work into the first motif. (3 ch-2 spaces made.)

Skip 2 ch, sl st in next ch. Sl st in each of the next 2 ch and into last dc made on the previous motif.

Turn work so you can again begin working over the 2nd motif. Ch 2, dc in first loop of 2nd motif. Ch 2, dc in next dc.

(Ch 2, dc in next ch-2 space. Ch 2, dc in next dc) 2 times. End with ch 2, dc in next ch-2 space. Ch 2, dc in 3rd ch of ch 5 turning ch.


Next Mofits –Repeat the following rows until 4 complete motifs have been made.

Row 1: Ch 10, sl st in 5th ch from hook to form ring. Ch 5, turn.

Row 2: Dc in ring. (Ch 2, dc in ring) 2 times. Ch 2, skip 2 ch, sl st in next ch. (4 ch-2 spaces made on second motif.) Sl st in each of the next 2 ch and into last dc made on the previous motif.


Turn work so you can again begin working over the 2nd motif.


Row 3: Ch 2, dc in first loop of 2nd motif. Ch 2, dc in next dc. (Ch 2, dc in next ch-2 space. Ch 2, dc in next dc) 2 times. End with ch 2, dc in next ch-2 space. Ch 2, dc in 3rd ch of ch 5 turning ch. At the end of the fifth motif turn work to begin working on the base of the shells.


Top Row 1: Ch 1, make 2 sc in each space across. Join to 3rd ch of first ch-5 with a sc. End off and yellow and weave in end.


Teal Trim

Attach teal thread in last st worked with a sc. (Make 2 sc in next ch-2 space, sc in next dc) 3 times. Make 2 sc in next ch-2 space. Ch 4 sl st in 4th ch from hook for a picot. Sc in next dc. (Make 2 sc in next ch-2 space, sc in next dc) 3 times. Sc next two loops together. **(Make 2 sc in next ch-2 space, sc in next dc) twice. Make 2 sc in next ch-2 space. Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook for a picot. (Make 2 sc in next ch-2 space, sc in next dc) 3 times. Sc next two loops together. Sc in next dc.* Repeat from ** to * across row.

End with 2 sc in last loop and sc in end st. End off Teal and weave in end.

Top Pink Row 1: Attach Pink thread in last teal st worked. Sc in same st. Make 53 evenly spaced sc across top. (You will need to increase to get to 53 by at least 1 sc.) Join to last teal st with sl st. Ch 1 turn.

Row 2: **Sc in each of the next 2 sc. Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook for picot. Skip 1 sc. * Repeat from ** to * across row. End with sc in each of the last 2 sc. End off pink and weave in end.


Ties

Attach Green thread to last pink sc made. ** Ch 3, yo and draw up a loop in the 3rd ch from the hook. (3 loops on hook.) yarn over an draw though 2 loops on hook leaving 2 remaining loops on hook. Yo and pull up a loop in the 3rd ch from the hook once again. (4 loops on hook.) Yo and draw through 2 loops on hook leaving 3 loops. Yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.* Repeat from ** to * until you have a tie with approximately 32 clusters. End off and weave in ends. Repeat on opposite side.

Small Flowers for ends of tie – make 2


With yellow, ch 2, make 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join to first sc with a sl st. End off yellow.

Petals: Join pink thread in any sc. Ch 3 (2 dc, ch 2, sl st) in same sc. (Sl st, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) 4 times in next sc. Sew one flower to each end of tie.

#5 Grey Beauty

Materials Needed: #5 size Gold thread and size D hook. 31 stringable beads – opt. 60g glass beads 6/0 shown. Necklace fastener-bar and hook shown.

If desired, thread 31 beads unto Grey thread and push down. (You will not be using them for a long time.)

Row 1: With Grey thread and D hook, ch 241, dc in 6th ch from hook, ** Skip 1 ch, dc in next ch. * Repeat from ** to * across. Ch 1, turn. (119 Ch-1 spaces made, 120 dc made.)

Row 2: Sc in top of turning dc. Ch 10, skip 2 dc, sl st in next dc.** Sl st in next ch-1 space and into next dc. Ch 10, skip 2 dc sl stb in next dc.* Repeat from ** to * across. End with Ch 10, skip 1 ch on turning ch-6, sc in next sc. Ch 1, turn. (31 ch-10 spaces made.)

Row 3: Make 5 sc in first ch-10 loop. Ch 4, make 5 dc in same ring. ** In next loop make (5 sc, ch 4 and 5 dc.) * Repeat form ** to * across. Ch 6, turn.

Row 4: If desired – pull up a bead and sc around it. (If not adding a bead just add a ch.) Make 5 dc in first ch-4 loop. Skip one sc. Sc in next sc. **Ch 6 and pull up a bead, sc around it. Make 5 dc in next ch-4 loop. Skip one sc . Sc in next sc.* Repeat from ** to * across.

End: Ch 1, turn work so you can work across the end of piece.


Make 4 sc up side, skipping some sc. Ch 1 turn and sc in each of the sc you just made. Ch 1 and sl st back up side so you end up at the beginning ch. Ch 1.


Top of Necklace

Ch 1, sc in first st on top.

**Sc in next ch-1 space.* Repeat from around. End with sc in last st. Make 4 sc down side of piece as before stopping before loop. Sc up 4 sc you just made.

Turn work to top side once again.

Edging: ** Ch 3, make 2 dc in same sc. Skip 3 sc, sl st in next sc. * Repeat from ** to * across. End off and weave in end.


Finishing: Sew fastener at each edge of necklace.


# 6 Burgundy and Pink Flowers

Materials Needed. Size #5 cotton threads in the following colors: Brown, Gold, Burgundy, Green and Pink. 6 small pearls – optional.

Necklace Center: With Brown thread and size B hook. Ch 58, hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. End off brown and weave in end.


Ties: Repeat at each end. Attach gold thread at edge of centerpiece. Ch 80, sl st in 4th ch from the hook to form ring. Ch 4 turn.


End piece: Make 8 trc in ring. Ch 1, turn. Ch 1, sc in top of turning dc. ** Ch 3, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc. * Repeat from ** to * across. End with sc in last sc. End off and weave in end.

Large Flowers - Make 3 -Row 1: With Burgundy thread and size D hook. Ch 2, make 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join to first sc with sl sl.

Row 2: Make 2 sc in each sc around. Join to first sc with sl st. (10 sc.) End off and weave in end.


Row 3: Attach Pink thread in any sc. Ch 1, make 2 sc in first sc. sc in next sc. **make 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc* Repeat from ** to * around. Join to first sc with sl st. (15 sc.)


Row 4: Ch 3 make dc in same sc as joining. Make 2 trc in next sc. In next sc make (dc, ch 3 and sl st.) ** Sl st in next sc. Ch 3, and dc in same sc. Make 2 trc in next sc. In next sc make (dc, ch 3 and sl st.) * Repeat from ** to * around. (5 petals made.) Join to first sl st with sl st. End off and weave in end. Sew to necklace as shown below.

Leaves – make 4: Ch 6, sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next ch. Hdc in next ch. Dc in next ch. Make 6 dc in last sc. Working on opposite side of ch make dc in next ch. Make hdc in next ch. Make sc in next ch. Join to first sl st with sl st. End off and weave in end. Sew to necklace as shown below.

Small Flowers – make 6: With Burgundy thread and size B hook, ch 3 (2 dc, ch 2, sl st) in third ch from hook. (Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) 4 times in same st as first petal made; finish of. 5 petals. Sew to necklace as shown below.

# 7 Mock Squash Blossom Necklace

Materials needed: Size #10 turquoise cotton crochet thread and size 7 crochet hook. Size #10 silver metallic thread. Sizes 8 steel crochet hook.


Make 11 (8 for centerpiece and 3 for necklace center.)

Rnd 1: With turquoise thread and size 7 crochet hook ch 4, make 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next st. Make 3 sc in end ch. working on opposite side of ch, sc in next sc. Join to first sc with a sl st. (8 sc made.) End off turquoise and weave in end.


Rnd 2: Attach silver thread in last st worked. ch 1, make 2 sc in joining. (Make 2 sc in next sc) twice. Sc in next sc. (Make 2 sc in next sc) 3 times. Sc in next sc. Join to first sc with sl st. (14 sc made.) End off and weave in ends. Set aside.


Center piece

Row 1: With silver thread ch 49, dc in 4th ch from hook. ** Dc in next ch, make 2 dc in next ch.* Repeat from ** to * across. End off and weave in end.

Find center dc of piece just made and mark with a pin.


Row 1: Attach sliver thread in the underside dc to the right of the marked dc. Ch 3, (counts as first dc) dc in each of the next 2 dc. (3 dc made.) Ch 3 turn.

Rows 2- 4: Dc in next dc and in 3rd ch of turning ch-3. Ch 3, turn. At end of row 4 do not ch 3, but end off and weave in end.

Sew 8 Turquoise pieces to center piece as shown below.

Necklace

With silver thread ch 211. Sl st in the first 30 chs. Sc in each of the next 20 chs. Hdc in each of the next 2 ch. Dc in each of the next 40 ch. (Make 2 dc in next ch, dc in next ch) 13 times. Make 2 dc in next ch. Dc in each of the next 40 ch. Hdc in each of the next 2 ch. Sc in each of the next 20 chs. Sl st in each of the last chs. End off and weave in ends. Mark center st as before.

Row 1: Attach sliver thread in the underside dc to the right of the marked dc. Ch 3, (counts as first dc) dc in each of the next 2 dc. (3 dc made.) Ch 3 turn.


Rows 2- 4: Dc in next dc and in 3rd ch of turning ch-3. Ch 3, turn. At end of row 4 do not ch 3, but end off and weave in end.


Small Turquoise pieces – Make 3 from the pattern above.

Sew pieces to necklace as shown below.

Sew centerpiece to post that hangs down as shown below.

Side Gems – make 12

Rnd 1: With turquoise thread and size 7 crochet hook ch 4, make 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next st. Make 3 sc in end ch. working on opposite side of ch, sc in next sc. Join to first sc with a sl st. (8 sc made.) End off turquoise and weave in end.


Rnd 2: Join silver thread in last st worked. Ch 1, make 2 sc in next sc. in next sc make (sl st, ch 3, dc, ch 3 and sl st.) Make 2 sc in next sc. Sc in each of the next sc. Make 2 sc in next sc. In next sc make (ch 5, sl st in 2nd and 3rd chs from hook, dc, ch 3, sl st in 2nd and 3rd chs from hook, ch 3 and sl st.) Make 2 sc in next sc. Sc in each of the last 2 sc. End off silver and weave in end.

Sew to sides of necklace as shown below.

#8 Silver 3 Chain Necklace

Materials Needed: Size #5 Silver, orange, yellow, teal and pink cotton crochet threads. Size B crochet hook. Six small sewable beads – optional.


Hanging Rings – Make 2

With sliver thread and size B hook, ch 8. Join to first ch to form a ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, make 14 sc in ring. Join to first sc with sl st. End off and weave in end.


Top Center Chain

Attach Silver thread in any sc on ring.

Ch 45, and attach to any sc in 2nd ring with a sl st. Sl st into next ch on ring. Sl st in sc directly below where you attached the first chain.

Ch 55 and sl st into 2nd circle in the sc directly below where you attached the first chain.


Ch 65 and sl st into 2nd circle in the sc directly below where you attached the second chain. End off and weave in end.


Ties

Attach silver thread in 7 ch from where you attached the first ch.

Ch 110. In 2nd ch from hook make 5 sc. End off and weave in end. Repeat for other side.

Flowers – Make 2 teal, 2 pink, 1 orange and 1 yellow.

Ch 4, join to first sc to form a loop.


Rnd 1: Ch 1, In loop, make 6 sc. Join to first sc with sl st.


Rnd 2: In joining make (ch 1, dc, trc, dc, ch 1 and sl st.) ** Sl st in next sc on ring. In same sc make (ch 1, dc, trc, dc, ch 1 and sl st.) * Repeat from ** to * around. End off leaving a 12” tail to sew to necklace.


Finishing

Sew flowers to necklace as shown below.

Sew a bead to center of each flower if desired.

#9 Easy Multicolored Chain and Bead Necklace

Materials needed:

Size # 10 cotton crochet threads in the following colors – red, orange, yellow, blue, green and purple. 495 small to medium sized stringable beads. Size 7 steel crochet hook. Necklace clasp.


String 1: On Red thread, string 70 beads. With red thread and size 7 hook. Make a sl st. ** Ch 1, draw up a bead and sc around it. * Repeat from ** to * across until all beads are used. Ch 1, and end off leaving a 20” tail for sewing to ring.

String 2: On Orange thread, string 75 beads. With orange thread and size 7 hook. Make a sl st. ** Ch 1, draw up a bead and sc around it. * Repeat from ** to * across until all beads are used. Ch 1, and end off leaving a 20” tail for sewing to ring.


String 3: On yellow thread, string 80 beads. With yellow thread and size 7 hook. Make a sl st. ** Ch 1, draw up a bead and sc around it. * Repeat from ** to * across until all beads are used. Ch 1, and end off leaving a 20” tail for sewing to ring.

String 4: On blue thread, string 85 beads. With blue thread and size 7 hook. Make a sl st. ** Ch 1, draw up a bead and sc around it. * Repeat from ** to * across until all beads are used. Ch 1, and end off leaving a 20” tail for sewing to ring.


String 5: On green thread, string 90 beads. With green thread and size 7 hook. Make a sl st. ** Ch 1, draw up a bead and sc around it. * Repeat from ** to * across until all beads are used. Ch 1, and end off leaving a 20” tail for sewing to ring.

String 6: On purple thread, string 95 beads. With purple thread and size 7 hook. Make a sl st. ** Ch 1, draw up a bead and sc around it. * Repeat from ** to * across until all beads are used. Ch 1, and end off leaving a 20” tail for sewing to ring.


End Pieces – make 2

With any color thread you desire, ch 4 and join to first ch with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1: Make 8 sc in ring. Join to first sc with a sl st to form a ring.


Next Step: Ch 3, (counts as first dc) make dc in same st for an increase. (Make 2 dc in next st) twice. (6 dc made.) Ch 1, turn. Make sc in top of each dc across. End off and weave in end.


Starting in top of first sc on each end piece. Sew the first red strand to the end piece.

In the next sc under the first sew the 2nd strand. Repeat until all 6 strands have been sewn to the end pieces.

Sew a clasp to each end.

#10 Gold Lace Choker

Materials Needed: #5 size Gold thread and size D hook

Row 1: Make a ch of 123, hdc in 5th ch from hook. * Ch 2, sk 2 ch, hdc in next ch. Repeat from across. Ch 1, turn. (40 ch-2 spaces)


Row 2: Sc in top of first dc. Ch 5, Skip 2 spaces. **In next space make (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc.) Ch 10, skip 4 spaces. * Repeat from ** to * across. End with, in next space make (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc.) Ch 5, skip 2 spaces, sc in 2nd ch of beginning ch-5. Ch 1, turn.

Row 3: Sc in first sc. Ch 7, in center ch-1 space between dcs, make (sl st, ch 6, sl st. ) **Ch 15, in center space between next dcs, make (sl st, ch 6, sl st.) * Repeat from ** to * across. End with Ch 7, sc in last sc. Ch 1, turn.


Row 4: Sc in first sc. Ch 7, ** in center of next ch-6 loop make (sl st, picot, sl st.) Ch 7, skip 1 hdc from row 1, sc over all chains from rows 2-3 into the 2nd dc on row one. Ch 7 * Repeat from ** to * across. End with, Ch 7, sc in last sc.

Finishing: Turn work to work across foundation ch. Attach thread at right side in first space. Ch 1, ** Make 2 sc in ch-2 space. Make picot. * Repeat from ** to * across. End off and weave in end.

Ties: Repeat for both sides. Attach gold thread at top end of necklace.

Tie Base: Ch 1, make 5 sc down side of necklace.

Ch 1, turn. Make a sc dec over first 2 sc. Sc in next sc. Make a sc dec over last 2 sc. Ch 1, turn. (3 sc made.) Draw up a loop in each hook. (3 loops on hook.)

Tie: The 3 loops on hook will form the base of the cord. Drop the first 2 loops off the hook, but hold on to them so you do not lose them.

Holding on to the loops, ch 1 with the remaining loop on the hook, put the 2nd loop back onto the hook. YO and ch 1, (2 loops on hook.) Put 3rd loop back on hook, YO and ch 1. (3 loops on hook) ** Drop loops 2 and 3 off the hook and hold onto them. Ch 1, put loop 2 back onto hook. YO and ch 1. Put loop 3 back onto the hook and ch 1. * Repeat from ** to * for desired length. (8” shown.) At end yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

End Bobble: Sc between last sts.

Ch 1 and turn. Make 3 sc in sc. Ch 1, turn. Make 2 sc in each sc for 6 sc made. Ch 1, turn. Sc in each of the 6 sc across. Ch 3, turn. Sc in 3rd ch from hook. Skip first sc, sl st in next sc. **Ch 3, sc in 3rd ch from hook. Sl st in next sc. * Repeat from ** to * across.
